Bump*kins!

Every year we have been getting together and carving pumpkins as a family! The grandmas come over and everything! Risa made the best chille this year! Yum! It was a lot of fun with Vea bigger! She loved the pumpkins! Was so interested of what was on the inside! Tevita even let her taste it...YUCK!!

It was a good year! I think that maybe The Asisi's won the pumpkin carving contest this year! We missed you Jenn and Kev so much! Wasn't the same without your artistic views on pumpkins, Jenn!

Vea's First Birthday

Vea is finally ONE! I can't believe that it has already been that long! Goodness, she has so much personality, so loving, and way too funny for her age! She says thank you, mom, daddy, go, and a whole lot more gibberish! She dances anytime music is on. In the car is the funniest cause she just tilts her head from side to side. Her favorite movie is Madagascar! She loves it!!! I mean really how many times can you watch it in a day. Loves the outside, her cousins, and most of all her dad! She thinks he is the greatest! Vea gives "uma's" (kiss in tongan) to everything. That is what she says too. Uma to her chair, Uma to her horse, and Uma to all her books. It is so cute! She loves danimals, french toast, and anything with melted cheese. We are off bottles completely now... ugh! That was more hard for me than it was for her. She didn't like them anyway. So now its mostly pink milk!
Vea has a mouth full of teeth! Konks on her head probably 75% of the time! The girl has no fear! She hates to snug. Unless its dad of course. She is walking everywhere! Hates having shoes on her feet! My mom says she acts exactly like me. Wants to do her own thing and is happy doing it! I can't tell you the feeling I get every morning when I see her! Gosh, who knew you could have this kind of love for someone. Its beautiful!

For her birthday we went to Build-a-bear and made a bear for her! Talula is her bears name! Thanks to the bright thinking of her mom and dad...okay and Cool Runnings! She loved all the bears. We didn't plan Tevita and her matching but its pretty cute! After Build-a-Bear we went to lunch and then went to pick out bumpkins at Shannon's house! She thought they were the coolest things.

We had a birthday party for her on Sundee! It was so overwhelming for me! I wanted everything to be perfect! Her cake was just a yellow cupcake with cream cheese frosting! The night ended out to be great and lots of fun for everyone!

She tried to put out the candles with her fingers! Ouch!

She ate the cake so dainty! Little finger fulls of frosting! Wasn't that big of a fan of it!

Liked the ice cream cone a lot better!! I guess we will know that now for next time!!! :)

Eye all Better!!

Vea has had a blocked tear duct since she was born! It has been a mess! Every morning she wakes up with a totally swelled shut eye of boogies!

Then throughout the entire day I probably wipe it maybe 10 times. They weren't the normal eye boogers, they were like the hard, crunchy, hurt like hell eye boogers!!
See how they are like crunched in between her eyelashes!!! Ouch!!

So this morning Vea went into surgery to get this all cleared up! We went in about 6:30a.m. and waited for about a hour then the actual surgery only about 10 minutes long. It was so hard because I couldn't go in with her. So you have to hand her off to the doctor as she is reaching out for you crying! Wow, that is hard to do! So of course I cried. But she came back had some milk and some cereal and she was good to go! Since this morning she has had 2 long naps and is feeling great! No boogers when she wakes up from her naps! I can't tell you how excited I am to finally have this done!! She did great!!

More Teeth= Less sleep!

Her poor poor mouth! Vea is getting 4 more teeth. Two on the bottom and two on the top!! I can't imagine what the poor girl is going through!! She won't eat her bottle, won't take a bink.....won't sleep without a good 15 minutes of crying first! I hate this stage! I want to help her but all I can do is drug her and give her more and more popsicles!!

Its probably good that she isn't taking her bottle because I am slowly getting her off of it! I am overwhelmed with the whole situation but its coming along. Today she tried egg-os for the first time and loved them! Loves the milk in the sippy idea so.... I guess no bottles is a go??

Thanksgiving Point Farm

Getting ready to go to the Farm!

Aiona & I decided that once a week that we get together and do something fun with the kids. So to start out this fun tradition we went to the Thanksgiving Point Farm Animal thing. It was so hot!! All the kids were sweating, we were melting, but all and all it was so fun!

Piers did great! Not fussy at all! Talei and Simon, and Vea and me rode the horses around the little track thing. It was so cute to watch Vea's face! She wasn't scared at all of the horses! She kept on pulling on his mane...I was nervous her was going to get mad or something but the horse didn't.

Vea was more scared of this giant cow we sat her up on! Of course Simon loved it!! He is so funny!

It was so nice cause you could actually get close to the animals. They just come right up to the fence! They loved it!

Really Babe??

So coming home from work early today I was so excited to see baby Vea and Tevita! Tevita was just coming home from Fia's house so I met them at the door. First glance at Vea I was thinking they must of been outside all day because it looks like she has oodles and oodles of sunscreen in her hair.

I ran my fingers through her hair and it was NOT sunscreen!

I said "Tevita, whats in her hair"?

"pomade" he replied.

"WHY" I said calmly ;)

"because I wanted to give her a mo-hawk" he said.

I took her out of her carseat to promptly give her a bath to wash out that crap! And she threw up. Looking at the spit up I noticed a odd color to it. I said "Babe, what did Vea eat today"? He said "um, i gave her some of those fruit snacks you bought for her". Mind you the day before I bought princess fruit snacks for when the girls come over, they can have a snack.... not for my 1 year old with not enough teeth to chew a grape skin.

So on the third washing of Vea's hair I was getting frustrated, and I said ttrying to hold back my tears... "WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE OUR DAUGHTER A BOY"?? ONLY MO-HAWKS ARE FOR BOYS NOT LITTLE GIRLS"!!! Don't know why I was so sad about it!

So my conclusion to this story is men don't get it, they mean well, but they need to be walked through step by step, women over react to silly things and I am hungry on this diet!

I washed Vea's hair so fast I didn't get any pictures!! Shoot!!
